The RMS Single Pair Roller Mill grinds minerals and industrial materials through compression between two counterrotating rolls. This industrial roller mill uses an adjustable roll gap to set the final particle size, and the single adjustment point allows precise control of the grind.
Single Pair Roller Mill Overview
Key features include:
- Two-roll compression grinding
- Adjustable mechanical roll gap control
- Direct mechanical drive
- Compact footprint for retrofit or new installations
The Single Pair Roller Mill uses one compression zone to reduce material to a controlled particle size. Typical targets range from 2” to 20 mesh, depending on roll surface selection and gap setting.
Controlled Compression. Consistent Results.
The Single Pair Roller Mill pulls material into the nip between two rolls and fractures it under steady pressure. Materials break along defined planes instead of shattering randomly, which helps limit excess fines.
Roll surface profile selection influences how material enters the nip and fractures:
- Crushing rolls are selected for grabbing larger input material size often over 1”
- Corrugated rolls increase grab material and size it coarsely
- Smooth rolls provide tighter control when targeting finer particle sizes
- The gap between the rolls and surface profile determines the final particle size range
A rigid frame, aligned rolls, and balanced load handling allow this industrial processing mill to maintain stability under pressure—supporting consistent performance, predictable wear, and defined service intervals.
As an industrial 2 roll mill, it uses a single compression zone with one adjustable gap, making it ideal for applications where particle size can be achieved in one pass—delivering direct, efficient control without unnecessary complexity.
